Electric Aviation
As North Carolina’s leader in electric aviation, Raleigh Exec is home to the state’s first-ever aircraft charging station, installed in partnership with BETA Technologies, the Vermont-based company creating an electric transportation ecosystem that is safe, reliable and sustainable.
Raleigh Exec’s charging station is built around the Charge Cube — a Level-3 fast-charger that can charge electric aircraft in less than one hour — and also supports a Level-2 car charger installed nearby in terminal public parking. When the charging station opened in the spring of 2025, BETA Technologies was operating about 50 others throughout the eastern United States with many more already under construction or coming soon.
BETA Technologies operates at Raleigh Exec from a small campus of environmentally sensitive spaces built with shipping containers and solar panels. Those buildings include comfortable pilot lounges — with bathrooms, showers and desks — and a convenient meeting room with kitchenette overlooking the airfield.

As part of their ongoing mission to advance electric flight, BETA Technologies manufactures VTOL (vertical take-off and landing) and CTOL (conventional take-off and landing) aircraft in a 188,000-square-foot, net-zero manufacturing and production space — in addition to providing a portfolio of related services and operating their expansive and growing network of electric charging stations.
